6-easy-steps-smooth-sexy-lips

We all want a good-looking kisser, but we lose some of our youthful pucker-power as we age. If rough, thin lips surrounded by fine lines are where you're at or where you're headed, fight those signs of aging and reclaim your pucker-power with these 6 easy steps to smooth, sexy lips.

Exfoliate Weekly

Gently removal dead, rough skin from lips and keep them baby-soft by exfoliating them once a week. Apply a dab of petroleum jelly on your lips and use a soft-bristled toothbrush (like one designed for baby teeth) to gently scrub away rough skin. If more exfoliating power is needed to remove rough skin, mix a couple drops of olive oil into ½ teaspoon of brown sugar, then apply mix with soft toothbrush or fingertip and gently scrub to exfoliate.

Hydrate Constantly

Wear a hydrating lip balm constantly. Use a conditioning lip balm that contains shea butter, beeswax or petrolatum under lipstick or wear alone to keep lips hydrated and moisturized.

Creamy Lipstick

Lipsticks contain ingredients that can actually dry lips and cause them to crack. Choose creamy lipsticks that contain vitamin E and conditioning antioxidants to keep lips soft and sexy. Apply a coat of clear lip balm before applying lipstick to prevent drying.

Sunscreen Protection

Lips are prone to sunburn and need to be protected just like the skin on the rest of your body. Use a moisturizing lip balm that contains sunscreen and make sure your hat brim shades not only your eyes but your lips as well when going outside. Exposure to sun can also cause a painful and unattractive fever blister to crop up on the lip.

Plump, Sexy Lips

Lips thin as we age and you can fight that with products that contain hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid plumps lips up and gives them a fuller, pouty look and helps prevent them from thinning.

Fight Lip Lines

Vertical lines develop around the outside of lips as we age and lip color has a way of feathering out into those lines. Not an attractive look. Fight these lip lines by always applying a night cream around the lips to help keep the skin smooth.
